Hi All:

I recently accepted a position as a professor at Inver Hills Community College. I now live in San Antonio, TX and am currently looking for a place to rent in the St Paul area. My question is two-fold: (1) Are there any places in Inver Grove Heights to avoid, or is the entire area safe, and (2) If not Inver Grove Heights, are there any other areas you could suggest that require no more than a 20-25 minute commute?

Thanks!!!!

There are no areas in Inver Grove Heights to avoid from what I know. IGH is a generally expensive upper-middle class suburb full of big lots and windy roads.

Inver Grove Heights is, like, farm country. Very quiet (except for some high-up airplane noise), nothing to worry about.

There are also several nice townhome complexes in Inver Grove if you are looking to rent. You should be able to find something in IGH pretty easily. If not, Eagan, Hastings and Rosemount are neighboring towns that are all safe and have a lot of rentals available.
