By the way, how is Harriet Island Park in St. Paul? I've been curious about that one. I've been to the Crosby Family Farm Park just upstream and wasn't impressed.
Harriet Island is decent. It's a fairly open park with some nice paved walking/biking paths, big open fields and a playground. There's usually a good number of bikers/joggers/walkers and people playing ultimate or some game in the fields. There's also some pretty nice views of the river and downtown St. Paul. It's definitely worth a walk around for the views alone if you've never been there. It's a popular destination for various festivals and concert type events (Irish Festival, Taste of MN, etc.) which is when I like to go.

As for other parks:

Indian Mounds Park - IMO the best view of the city from where it sits on a bluff just east of downtown and where the Mississippi turns south. Plus the actual burial mounds and interesting plaques describing the native Americans that used to live in the area as well.

Irvine Park - This one sits southwest of downtown St. Paul just a little off of West 7th St. There's not much more there than a gazebo, fountain and historical plaque. I just love the feel of the neighborhood with its old houses and big shady trees. The layout is cool with the park sitting in the center of a square surrounded by houses.

Thanks but you're replying to a post I made a year ago. We've since been to that park at least twice, once was for the Irish festival.

True, but I didn't want to run the risk of you not knowing how cool the park was! JK I didn't even look at the date of the posts, just saw it jump back up to the top of the forum and responded because it's a cool topic. Irish Festival is awesome . . . coming up soon April 7!

In other words,I would like to know the name of parks that attract the 20 years old crowd than the parks that are family oriented.
