This won't do anything, i have been reading your pathetic poasts about guns an di have to say, in Russia in most places we don't have guns but at the same time in most places you don't feel safe because of the way people act. I wouldn't and i won't bring a gun when i come to Minneapolis cause i know this is one of the nicest places in US, we just say in Russia family can't be without a bustard. So in neighborhood that could happened *******s live everywhere, they don't tend not to live in some places. That's not the reason to get a gun....

Then talk to an operator about your hurt feelings for 10 minutes while waiting for the police to show up just to tell you there is nothing they can do because the people that committed the crime are gone?

First off she didn't get groped, she received a butt grab. Pre-1960's this would've been defined as "flirting." The age of the girl of course makes it inappropriate but I don't see how that relatively unharmful action has to result in severe violence. Why would it be cowardly and ridiculous to grab your daughter, give the guy a dirty look and take your family home safely???

Slig- I get where you are coming from, believe it or not (and I'm a mother, fyi). In retrospect I feel it wouldn't have resulted in this if they'd have ignored the jerk and walked away faster. As a wife I'd certainly not judge my husband for realizing that a man capable of inappropriately grabbing a 12-year old is probably not one to mince words with, but, at the same time I'm certainly not judging this man's reaction to protect his daughter.

What I think many people are overlooking is that the problem (young aggressive men, men believing it appropriate to touch anyone they please, etc) is the real issue. Someone else said it right, killing them off doesn't help because there will always be more. If anything, I think, taking a gun to them will only stick more people in jail--and that doesn't help.

I think America needs to toughen their standards on punishment. Other places around the world have no overcrowding problems and low crime cause they make prison a place you don't want to be--not a luxury. Though I'm not 100% on their policies, I bet they don't give their inmates tv, video games, etc...

And what the heck is up with those guys getting out on bail?! $40k-$60k...I don't care if they live in Mpls, Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center (one kid was listed from Edina)...they obviously have money, come from money or are close enough to those who do that they'd waste $300k to bail em all out.

I will need to get a handgun when I am 21 years of age! FYI, I was at Valleyfair yesterday and it was awesome! Now, I don't know if I want to go there next month! Can you bring a firearm into Valleyfair even if you have a carry permit?

As long as there is not a sign at the entrances specifically banning it like the Mall of America.

No, you cannot bring a firearm into Valleyfair even if you have a carry permit. They have signs banning it by the entrance just like the Mall of America has.
