Default From Milwaukee to Minneapolis

Hello. I have made the decision to move from Milwaukee to Minneapolis. I have visited Minne a few times and love the environment and the people. It is not too much different from Milwaukee but, I do think it is better. I am 28, African American, single and a single mother of three. I was just wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on where to live in Minne and what the job market is looking like for someone who has worked in customer service/office settings for over 8 years, and is it kid friendly in Minne. If you have anything else you can add, that would be sweet. Thanks

You'll love it up here in Minneapolis. I lived in Milwaukee for a year and was glad I moved back. Was on about 26th and Juneau just north of 94. I am single and have 2 kids. Schools are great and there are so many things for them to do in the summertime. Jobs are fairly easy to find, as long as you don't set your standards too high. I have lived in other areas around the midwest and have always been glad to come back home. Being a minority, I have to say that I never felt out of place here in the city. Out in the burbs aren't too bad either. Very liberal here so maybe that's a good thing. I live on the south side of Mpls. Please try not to get a place on the norht side though. I compare it to the south side of Milwaukee. Hope this helps.
