So, I'll be taking the driver's test in Plymouth in a few days (June 9th). Has anyone here taken the test in Plymouth? I know its on a closed coarse, but I'm looking for things that I should look out for ahead of time.

Thanks

If you are in the far right lane and the instructor tells you to make a left hand turn, that is a bad command! He does that all of the time and he holds it against your score. I don't know what the right thing to say or do is when he does that. He has long, gray hair and wears it in a pony tail.

Say "it's too late, I'm in the wrong lane" and don't make the turn? That's what I would do. (Then ask if you should take the next left instead.)

Keep in mind that you don't want to make any maneuvers without taking time to ensure that the way is clear.

If and only if you have time to signal and properly (smoooothly, remembering to check the blind spot) change to the left lane before you execute a well-planned (again, smooooth) left turn, then do it. Otherwise, forget it. (Remember not to change lanes while you're in an intersection, too.)

I'm taking my test here in a couple weeks (July 2nd) and I'm pretty nervous. Can anyone give me a basic run down of what they test you one? Do they make you do a three-point turn, etc?

To the original poster: Have any tips or things to watch out for since you just recently took yours. Thanks.

No, but you'll be asked to do some parallel parking. There's also a no right turn when red sign on the course, look out for that. Make sure to look around as much as possible especially wile parking!

You'll also be asked to show your headlights, fog light, signals, break etc...

i took my test there, just make sure that you turn and end up in the same inside lane, and if someone is walkin across the intersection wait until they are on the curb before turning (not just not on your side of the road)
