Sushi
I'll be coming to the Twin Cities this weekend for about 4 days. I'd love to find a great sushi place that won't break my wallet. Any suggestions?
Last time, I went to Musashi downtown Minneapolis and it was terrible. Overpriced for hardly any food and the service was awful. Oh, and I always make a special trip to PF Chang's. I know... but it's just tradition.

I've never been there before (not a sushi fan) but there is a really popular place in uptown Minneapolis called Fuji Ya Sushi near the Lyndale Ave/Lake St intersection.

Benihana in St. Louis Park has AYCE sushi Friday nights for $29.95. It used to be Monday, so please call before you go just to confirm in case they change it again. It's pretty good, exact same quality as a la carte, and more than most people can handle. They hand you a sheet of paper and basically you're allowed four "rounds." Each round you can order a specific amount of rolls, nigiri sushi, sashimi. I presume if you manage to get through four rounds of sushi you can order more.

Bennihana should be the cheapest as it is a national chain. Fuji-ya is good, Origami is better in my opinion. There is Sushi Tango, never been there myself because it seems too hip and cheesy for my tastes.
I dunno, cheap and sushi don't really go together.

I like Fiji-ya (probably because of fond memories) but Origami is better. I've never had the sushi at Bennihana; but have eaten other things there and it was okay.

I've eaten at Benihana before and I thought it was just okay. I was hoping for a real authentic Japanese experience but our hibachi chef spoke Spanish instead of Japanese...
Thanks for suggesting Oragami. I'll have to check it out!

You could try Tiger Sushi at the Mall of America. I am sure it is very authentic.

Try Origami (my favorite) or Nami, both are located in the Warehouse District of downtown Minneapolis. The sushi is excellent at both places and reasonably priced. Fuji-Ya is good too.
I was just out in Rapid City about a month ago... love the Black Hills.

That's good to hear you enjoyed the Black Hills! I love 'em too and I get to see them everyday! I tried Suhi Tengo and it was fantastic! I got the seaweed salad and the futo roll. Also the best Philly roll I've ever had.
If you like sushi and you come to Rapid City again, try Ichiban.
Thanks again for all the suggestions. I had a great trip.
