Question 2. Where do you want to move to, and why?
|
Most likely Washington, D.C.
-my partner works for Marriott, which is based there, and he can only move up to corporate from his hotel
-wanted a larger city than Minneapolis
-love the east coast, big history buff, love that so many cities will be easily accessible
-have lived here all my life but one year: need to see more and experience living in other places

Question 3. Why do you want to leave minnesota?
|
- as much as I love it, it is insular: I want to broaden my perspective
-try as I might, I cannot live with winters that are so very harsh
-adventure, newness, rejuvenation of the soul

Question 4. What will you miss most about minnesota?
|
*sigh* so very much...
- a clean, well-maintained infrastructure
- engaged citizenry and a civic spirit that is sadly lacking in many other parts of the country
- the ability to afford a decent sized living space in a decent neighborhood in a city whose arts scene is world-class
- natural beauty and quiet even in city neighborhoods
- lack of pretense
- relatively good and clean government, and all the benefits we citizens accrue from it
- friends, friends and more friends; family

Friends and family, of course. Though we're meeting friends down here, too. Crisp air in the wintertime (though it was in the 20's here last night). Green Mill pizza. Good pizza in general, actually. I miss Denny's, too. Nice cheap edible food 24 hours. The only things we have down here are fast food and IHOP or Waffle House. Not the same. I also miss college hockey, and the MN HS Hockey Tournament.

I'm thinking florida, as I spent some time there a couple summers back and loved it. (never experienced a hurricane, but I'm pretty sure I slept through one of their "tropical storms") besides, I love wind, rain, and thunderstorms as well as hot weather, and an ocean always nearby so I think florida sounds perfect! Not to mention, they're finally a blue state.
Anyways, I saw something like this posted on another states forum, and found it interesting. so Here goes...
