We're told that Wisconsin is totally different. From everything that I could gather, apparently, when Minnesota is so cold the nitrogen is liquifying out of the air, people in Wisconsin are laying out on the beach getting a tan.

Kind of like going to a movie that got "5 stars" but doesn't live up to your expectations. Who the hell is giving 5 stars though to Minneapolis, if anything I'm hearing the opposite?
Yes, that's what I meant to imply, but it didn't come out like that.

1. Where do you live? I was born and raised in Kandiyohi County. Currently living in Willmar.

2. Where do you want to move, and why? I'm not sure. I've debated just moving to a larger city in Minnesota. I have people trying to talk me into Houston, Arizona, Denver, and a few other places. I've seriously considered moving to Arizona or Florida. I'm just not sure yet. Why? I am 29, and I figure if I'm going to do it, it's happening now. My dad is 75, and come winter, he can hardly move due to arthritis. My mom is gone, so it is up to my sister or me to help him out, and he just can't handle these winters anymore.

3. Why do you want to leave? Winter, mainly. I love Minnesota most of the time. But I also want something new and need to help my dad out.

4. What will you miss most? The lakes would be at the top of my list. Fall. Great hospitals and schools compared to many places, but mostly the lakes.

It seems to get under some people's skins that people in Minnesota dare to think this is a pretty good place. Around the country, it seems to be perfectly acceptable to have some pride. But Minnesotans seem to be very sensitive to any accusations of hubris. I can't imagine an "I <heart> MN" T-shirt going over to well here, but no one blinks at an "I <heart> NY" t-shirt.
