it was mostly sarcasm.

BJs is apparently "voted best strip club" according to their sign. I think it was voted that by the owner because the place looks incredibly scary. Not really a strip club frequenter to begin with, but even if I was it probably would not be there.

Irv's I think went out of business.

Halek's is further down Washington approaching N 22nd. I believe its up for sale currently, so that may be going under.

Johnny A's basically has a daytime white crowd and a nighttime black crowd. Its not that bad of a spot but its pretty ****ing tacky looking.

Jax Cafe is one of my favorite spots, especially in the summer where you can sit outside and enjoy the backyard waterfall and stream. I'd love to know about some of the other great restaurants around northeast. I've been to Erte and liked that, too. My goal is to visit as many bars and restaurants in Minneapolis as possible. Got any suggestions?

If you work on the northside, I would recommend Rix. Its off 44th and Penn. Nothing fancy, but its a good spot to get a reasonably priced tasty lunch or dinner. Its kind of become my spot of choice even though Im about 40 blocks south of it

Ive still never been to Papa's on 41st and Thomas, but I hear its really good.

There are many cities that are MUCH MUCH worse than Minneapolis. Minneapolis will never come anywhere close to those cities as far as violent crime rate, so that is not something that we need to worry about. Amazingly high???? Compared to where?? Yes you can find many cities with lower crime rates, but to call Minneapolis' crime rate amazingly high, is kind of an amazing statement.
You are wrong, there are extremely few cities worse than minneapolis.
