I agree. I never hit those places until a few weeks have passed...then again, things are rather picked-over by the time I get there so that stinks.

Cost Plus to close all 6 stores in Minnesota
Yes, I am really sad and very disappointed. I bought the Akio coffee table, bookshelf and armoire some years back and I still love them alot. I've bought lots of my accessories there and I have these really fun orange velvet curtains that I bought from there. Nothing but good to say about the place.

I like their wine shop too, but since I'm not an expert on wine yet, I can't speak to it. I actually like Byerly's wine shop cuz they carry some good riesling.

If I move from suburban Atlanta to Minneapolis, World Market will be one I will miss.

I like the fact that I can buy pfeffernusse cookies at World Market and also get the occasional bottle or two of Bubble Up.

Some of their furniture, silverware, and decorative stuff is also interesting, and they have a rough-surface wooden dining room table that I want to buy once we make room for it.

We don't shop there very often, though, and didn't in the Twin Cities either. Now and then for something different, perhaps.

I'm gonna miss touching those tall wooden giraffes when I go there, always thinking someday I'm gonna get one of those.
