I can't agree more that this latest coldfront has been a slap to our faces after a pretty cold winter. But the outlook looks pretty good from here on:

This time of the year just really sucks because the weather over the years can vary so much. I feel the same is for late OCt. and Nov.

what I am saying, is that in 2007, on St Patricks day I was in ST Cloud having a party and i remember all of us haning outside in having BBQ and green beer, playing catch. It was 59 and sunny.

Same goes for my birthday in early april. I remember always playing baseball on my bday and it was nice out, but last year there was 2 feet of snow on the ground during my birthday.

Or how one year it was -12 when i went deer hunting, but another year it was 60.

We all expect December, January, and February to be brutal... but we hope November and March are nice.

That isn't the only place. In Atlanta it was in the upper 50's today. Then again, it has been raining for the past few days.

Rain is good. Lake Lanier is thirsty still...

I know Minnesotans find the 30s and 40s to be nothing more than light sweater weather but I've seen T-shirts and shorts at that temp too....

Tomorrow we will be going ice skating.
That's a couple hours out of a day, for 2 days out of 6 months. You gonna do that everyday? Maybe snowmobile, or ice fish for a couple other days? I'm not trapped in my mind, I'm trapped in an EXTREMELY cold climate. I snowboard, just rarely considering it's NOT NICE OUT. I'd rather be wakeboarding, skateboarding, motorcycling, fourwheeling, swimming, throwing a football or baseball around, grilling, biking, jetskiing, walking around the lake, fishing, boating, camping, hiking, being outside in the sun, etc etc.

You're trapped in your mind. You're accepting 6 months of hell, and embracing it with open arms. When you get older, I'd love to see how your joints react to -20 degree weather and if you still post responses like "Im taking my old ass snowboarding, then iceskating" It won't happen.

It doesn't have to be like that. If you keep yourself healthy and fit, your joints don't have to hurt.

I guess we all have our own opinions on what comprises "hell". IMO, the amount of hellish weather we have is when the temps are below 10 degrees--which I'd guess to be about 1-1.5 months max. Dam nice day today!!
