Default Labyrinth - Underground St. Paul Tunnels ?s

Does anyone know if there is any opening to the Labyrinth (Downtown St. Paul underground utility tunnels starting from the 1800's that all connect and make a maze beneath the city) still accessible?
Is it legal to explore the tunnels?

Wow treasurehunter, I've looked into exploring the tunnels in Minneapolis but never thought about what St. Paul may have. I'm pretty sure that you're NOT supposed to explore them but just like many of the tunnels in Minneaopolis, where there's a will, there's a way. There is also a couple websites dedicated to exploring tunnels and caves in Minneapolis as well. Thanks for the site you posted, I have never seen that one before.

Intriguing things they are. Dangerous too. Last year 2 guys were killed in the tunnel when it rained.

I love ActionSquad! Such an interesting site. And yeah pretty sure it's illegal. If you look at the map they posted it might be possible to get an idea of where exactly the tunnels run. My first thought was the area around Rice Park, although without the key its hard to tell. If you could figure out which color on the map represents streets, that would be a good start.

Glad to help you out! I haven't really looked into Minneapolis tunnels, what are the best websites?

I actually spoke too soon.

The site you put up was the main site I always visit but it looks like they have a new look now. I will try to find the other one.

I just found out a couple months ago that there's a tunnel here in Minneapolis that goes from a house near where I live to a well known bar a few blocks away. I'm planning on asking permission to explore it this summer. I guess the entrance to it is in the basement of the house and is only held shut by a few nails.

Another tunnel system that always intrigued me was the storm tunnels that apparently run from the Lake Calhoun area to the Minnehaha Falls which are 5-6 miles away....

Hopefully I'll get some exploring in this summer. So many hobbies, so little time.
