Rosemount
Hello all--- am possibly relocating to the Rosemount area and have a couple questions. Is this a newer area of the Twin Cities metro area, and a nice/safe area? If not, is there a city nearby you could suggest that has a newer feel to it, and that is relatively safe, and a reasonble/short commute to Rosemount? All thoughts appreciated, thank you!!

Just wait for Golfgal...she's the Rosemount cheerleader here. It's a good community, safe as all communitities nearby to Rosemount are. You can't go wrong and it just depends on what sort of home and amenities you're looking.

I'm here . Rosemount is a very, very safe community. It is a great town with excellent schools. It is an older town with some newer developments so you can find houses ranging in age from the mid 1800's to 2009. The town has bike paths and sidewalks everywhere so walking is easy. Everything you need is either in town or within 10-15 minutes. We love it here.

Hey Golfgal,
We live in Rosemount too. I can walk my dog late at night without worries. (knock wood!)

Another Rosemount resident here. It is just as golfgal described it -- an older town with a lot of new development. It is very safe here.

I've only had one minor problem. Kids egged our house on 4th of July last year. Other than that, nothing. I feel pretty safe walking my dog at night through our residential area.

I have lived in Rosemount since 1974, LOVE it here. I have seen Rosemount go through a great growth spurt, but the community spirit still seems to be there. The schools are awesome and the students really seem to involved many activities. There is a real neighborhood feel here, you can dine downtown on a Friday night and walk to the home football game right down the street. Never had or have a problem with crime, has always been the place to live for me. I plan on continuing to reaise my family here. I graduated from school here and my kids will do the same. I LOVE Rosemount.....Go Irish!!!!

Rosemount is Nice. Still has that Rural feel to it. I know that its sometimes takes awhile to get from Rosemount to the freeways. It can add 20mins on your commute. There are better parts of Rosemount than others. I thinks that the areas closer to Apple Valley and the Areas south CO 42 are better. Apple Valley is building a very wealthly community called cobblestone lake right next to Rosemount so that is a good sign that alot of those neighborhoods should be stable for years to come. It is a great family community and it has alot to offer. I think that they have a great Police force. I would recomend checking out the area and staying away from certain bad pockets.
