Perhaps there is some jealousy, but I usually think it is a reaction to rudeness. To me, it's like OK you have lots of money, but jeez, be considerate and stop showing it off to everyone else, get some manners. "oldmoney's" post comes off as
very snobbish as does this thing that Edinians [or Edinites, Ediners (?)] adopted "cake-eater."

Jeeeez, I went to the wrong high school. Maybe now I'm a bit jealous, but I think schools giving out cars is quite a bit over the top even if they were donated. Biggest prize at my senior party---->$50 gift card to wal-mart.
