UMN2BE is on a distinguished road
Default Grad Student moving to Minneapolis

Hello all,

I've searched around these forums for a little bit, and there is just so much information out there. I thought I'd post my specific information.

As the title implies, I will begin grad school at U of M this fall (Sept). I have lived in Chicago for all 22 years of my life, so I am COMPLETELY unfamiliar with the Twin Cities area. I am looking for a 1 BR apartment near the East Bank campus, preferably one with a more 'adult' population, as the last thing I need is to be dealing with drunken undergrads partying while I'm studying.

Does anyone have any specific locations/buildings to check out? I will be visiting for a few days next week and would love some leads or suggestions. A thirty minute commute (walking or bus ride or combination of both) would be ideal.

I've already checked out Craigslist, but unfortunately, they just list info about the buildings, not about the areas themselves!

Thank You!
