Help looking for a place to stay (rentals, costs)

I know these forums are filled with people relocating and asking about costs and neighboroods, I apologize for adding to the trend...
My husband is being sent to U of M for 18 months for training (from Montreal, Canada). I will be going with him, and our soon-to-be-born son who will be a month old by the time we move
We're not really picky about the location, as long as it's safe and an easy commute to U of M.
The main problem is the fact that with a baby that could be born any day now, I obviously can't go looking for a place to stay. And I would not feel comfortable letting my husband leave for a few days either.
Are there any agencies who can help with relocation/rentals? I figured that dealing a large organization is somewhat more reliable that just responding to an online add...
Any suggestions?

I had real difficulty finding a property rental company that would assist me. I did my research and narrowed the geographic area I was searching and eventually found a listing on craigslist that led me to one. I would suggest scouring craiglist and you will see a pattern for maybe a handful of listing companies that have rentals. I would then check out their website and contact them.
