There is a large Hmong population, a good chunk of which has been here for decades now so am not sure I would refer to it as a "new destination". From
Asian American Studies : University of Minnesota:
"The 2000 U.S. Census has reported that Minneapolis and St. Paul have the greatest concentration of Asian Americans in the interior of the United States. The Census has also found that the state's Asian American population increased by 130% since the 1990s (from 78,000 to over 180,000) including 24,000 mixed race Asian or Pacific Islanders. The burgeoning Asian American population makes Minnesota an exciting research site for studying and addressing the challenges faced both by new refugees and immigrants and by earlier generations of Asian Americans."
