I think the bigger boost would come to the communities further away like Elk River, Anoka, and Big Lake. If it is a really short distance from the station it may help but it may take years to realize it. I think you would need to see some good statistics on usage before it would make any noticeable change to values.

I agree it will be a plus to market it as being close to the rail. But probably won't increase the value overall. My condo building really used the phrase "2 blocks from Light Rail" when I purchased it. But all my neighbors have cars.

Just out of curiosity, do you use the LRT very often? How about other people in your development?

Has anyone indicated that they feel they can be a 1-car household now rather than a 2-car household?
