Who cares, they'll be better next year irregardless of QB position. You think the Vikes' front office is going to let Tavaris and Sagey compete? The only reason the VIkings improved and WERE a better team is because of QB. They were 10-6 the year before, and 12-4 this year. That's a 2 game improvement. Those 2 games can be from the Addition of Favre. Front office knows that the difference between a good 10-6 team and a really good 12-4 team is HUUUUGGGEE. Front office isn't going to let this one slip. Either Favre comes back (I'm thinking he will) or we will go after another big-time QB.

Favre is coming back, he cruised through the first 10 games like it was backyard touch football. He only really started getting beat up towards the end of the season!

Dont look at this as a dissapointment. Childress has done a remarkable job. Better than Tice, better than Green ever did - Green never established a legitimate Defense, or a solid offensive team (rotating QBs, inconsistent run game).

We have a great franchise and an even better team of guys. Much of our big namers will be back. Much of our inexperienced guys (Rice, Loadholt, Sullivan, Sanford, Harvin, Brinkley) got a lot of experience or had great years.

If Brett stays, we are in better shape NEXT year than we were coming into this past season. Hands down. AP is only going to get better, and I still feel like he hasn't reached his peak. Shainco emerged as one of the premier TEs in the league, Rice is going to be something, Harvin is going to look good, EJ will be back, Allen and Kevin Williams will show up, Leber and Greenway both matured. Hutchinson is always awesome, Sullivan got some great experience, same with Loadholt. Vikes' biggest problem was the secondary, and that is going to get better.

Contenders in NFC next year? Green Bay, Cowboys, Vikings, Saints, Eagles, Cardinals, Chicago and maybe, maybe NY Giants.

They play in a division with the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, and the St. Louis Rams.

I can feel your pain, brothers and sisters. Cardinals fan. We couldn't hold on to win the Super Bowl last year with a mere 2 minutes and 37 seconds left in the game. It still hurts.

And we only came that close because of a certain Minnesota lad named Larry Fitzgerald.
