I will be visiting in April and staying near MOA. I plan to ride the LR downtown.

I like Murray's and Manny's though they seem a little high. I would like a local place, I can eat at Morton's at home. Which would you choose?

Any other places I should consider? Doesn't have to be steak.

Thanks!

Here's a few suggestions. There's dozens of restaurants in and around downtown. These are within about 4 or 5 blocks of a LRT station.

Solera is good, although I've only ever had the tapas. One of my fav's is Keiran's downtown on 3rd and 3rd (I think... very close to the lightrail). Imperial Room has good specials on food also, and like a block from it.

For affordable but decent eats try Rosen's at the Hennepin Ave light rail stop. They have good happy hour drink and appetizer specials. Their walleye sandwich is good too.

Zelo's is yummy - a little expensive - but GREAT seafood, salads and pasta dishes.

Also, love The Local - it's a pub but pretty nice, good crowd and good food.

Another favorite is Palomino on Hennepin...delicious food and great for happy hour (gets packed!)

My FAVORITE restaurant (Loring Park area - very close to downtown) is Cafe Lurcat - the sea bass is absolutely delish! This is probably the most expensive of all the places...but worth a splurge...atmosphere and views are awesome.
