Given that the two exhibition games with the Cardinals sold out in rapid fashion (between 2 and 20 minutes by any account) and are now going for 6-times their face value. For a couple of pretend games! In early April! In Minnesota! and it seems likely that most of the games will be sell-outs within the week.

Although they have reported in the neighborhood of 21,000 (full and partial) season tickets sold those season ticket holders have an opportunity to purchase additional single seat tickets (up to 8/game) today and tomorrow thru a special pre-sale. April is pretty much left with single seats in the bleachers at this point and the premium games with Milwaukee & New York are pretty much gone as well. The White Sox & Tigers series are likely to be gone as well by the end of the day tomorrow.

If you want tickets, and don't have access to the pre-sale, make sure you jump on to the Twins site first thing Saturday morning.

I bought a few games on one of the broker sites this weekend and got tickets at about a 20% up-charge. Was willing to accept that as I got good seats for the games I targeted but know that when they sell-out there will be plenty of *****ing from those that will be shut-out and not willing to pay any premiums. I can hear the moaning from the rubes now about how their increased taxes ($20/year) is funding the stadium and they want satisfaction.

Can't blame the season ticket holders as many of them stuck with the club through the bad times and it's going to be paying off in spades for them. Many will be able to recover a significant amount of their season tickets by selling a small part of their inventory these first few years.

Build it and they will come. Thirty-two days after tomorrow to the return of outdoor baseball in Minnesota and 3.2 million people packing into the West Side of Downtown.

Took a pic this past weekend from gate 34 at the 7th St Plaza Entrance looking down the RF foul line seats towards home plate. Think the way they hid the lights into the huge canopy is pretty slick. Love the contemporary look of the ballpark inside and out. Will post more in the MN picture thread later.

W/E i think it's BS. I dont know how these people are getting tickets

I am an avid Twins fan and have been trying so hard to get any type of tickets but can't. I tried to do the exhibition thing, but "didnt get it"

I absolutely love TF. Looks fantastic, best thing to happen to downtown since...well, since before Lisa made Target hike out to Brooklyn Park.

I don't think I'll be paying the upcharge for any resale tickets. Hopefully I'll be able to find some upper deck tickets with a skyline view sometime in midsummer. Looking forward to it immensely.

Ahhh, it's already becoming like Wrigley....in a bad way -- overrun by yuppies who don't know a thing about baseball but want to see and be seen! Hopefully it's short-lived and the average avid fan can enjoy a game for $20 or less a ticket.

Hey, female yuppies are okay.

Which is exactly what the Twins want. They can jack up the prices even more when that happens. They don't care who watches the game, as long as they pay.

I've been disappointed with the ticket prices this year. I have a hard time seeing how a normal family can go to a game more than once a year. I'm sure food won't be cheap either.

As bad as the Metrodome was, there will be things I'll miss...easy (relatively cheap) parking, cheap tickets (I got free tickets twice from people who didn't need them), no rainouts.

I'm sure they do want that, but "real" baseball is something that is (as VISA says) "priceless". But yes, female "yuppies" are A-O-K with me!

Took me just under 90 minutes to get through, but I managed to get six upper deck tickets for a Friday night in July, one of the ones with fireworks after the game. Should be fantastic!

So, let me get this straight.

I will no longer be able to walk up to the gate and buy tickets for a game?
I have to log in IN March to buy tickets for July?
This seems ridiculous. I used to go to Twins games randomly, I dont want to buy tickets for 5 months in advance.

Or am I wrong?
