I was wondering how long it would take and the easiest route to take to go from richfield to plymouth on 494 and 55 i would be leaving before 7.

That stretch of 494 around Bloomington and Richfield is murder. I would just take 62 to 169 to 55.

Although 62 is currently equally sucky. It'll hopefully improve once the construction there is done...if it ever gets done.

You could also take 100 to 394 to 169 to 55. 394 won't be that bad going away from the city.

It's relative I guess, if an extra 10-20 minutes will make you just go insane then maybe it's not beneficial for you....I'd be more worried about the potential evening commute, anytime between 4 and 6.....THAT could be murder!

I'm going to agree with Flyingwriter: minimize your time on 494 AND 55. 55 is stop-lit, and traffic is rarely friendly on it.

The 62-100-394-494-55 route, or the 62-169-394-494-55 route is probably best. It's only a few miles northbound between 394 and 55 at either of those spots, and is usually pretty slick.

It depends a lot on how far up 55 the office is. But assuming that you are not going much further west than 494, I would say that it'll take about half-an-hour, without traffic.

And if you're leaving before 7, I wouldn't anticipate any traffic. So, I'll stick by my half-an-hour prediction....
