This is about 2 months old but still great

Minneapolis ranked as one of the “Best Places to Live in 2010.”

Men’s Journal magazine has named Minneapolis one of the “Best Places to Live in 2010” in its April 2010 issue.

Minneapolis was given high marks for being eco-friendly with the City providing funds for innovative eco-projects, the building of the Midtown Greenway and other projects that make the city bike and pedestrian friendly.

Minneapolis was among 25 U.S. and Canadian cities featured in their annual report on Best Places to live in North America. Others included Nashville, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Vancouver, B.C., and Louisville, Ky.

Where are they from? I find it amusing to hear people's impression of Minnesota in some other parts of the country. Snow in August? Polar bears? I don't think so.

Ya, I've gotten the Minnesota misconceptions, too. 60 below zero, everyone has a funny accent, everyone is Swedish or Norwegian, it snows in July, it's near the North Pole, moose are everywhere, etc.
