In my opinion, if you don't vote, you give up the right to complain about ANYONE holding office at any level. Since you chose not to do anything about it you forfeit the right to complain. Just how I see things.

I completely agree with this.

Horner is a partisan by playing the Independence Party's incredibly easy role by looking level-headed and criticizing Emmer and Dayton. The guy tries to look so smart in doing so. Also, to the person who says this state has such an entrenched 2-party system, didn't we have a 3rd party governor less than a decade ago? He was just average, or should I say, middle of the road (pun intended).

I voted today, just to show I'm keeping faith in the system. None of the candidates or issues particularly interested me, and my voting pattern was as boring as it was predictable - even to myself. But, perhaps someday, we'll have a decent slate of candidates to choose from again. I'd prefer to have the option to vote, even if it doesn't matter much right now.

Donald Duck...puhleeese! It's enablers like you that keep these quacks in office when in truth they should be locked up with the rest of society's dregs.

I've made my decision. I'm abstaining from gubernatorial / congressional voting, and I'm voting only for city and county offices. I can't in good conscience vote for Emmer (everything he stands for), Dayton (Abortion supporter) or Horner (abortion supporter). The same standards apply for congressional candidates. I'll vote for helping to make the Mankato area a better place to live, but that's it.

The US Constitution says you would be mistaken. But fortunately for you, that same document gives you the right to be wrong as often as you wish.

It's really too bad that ONE issue will cause you not to vote, especially since ANY change to that law would require 2/3rd vote in Congress AND a majority vote across the nation-not going to happen any time soon.

If you don't like the candidates, write in a VIABLE candidate you would LIKE to see in the office (not Mickey Mouse). Do your civic duty in a productive way.

I voted. I ended up changing my mind and voted for Tom Horner and Independence Party congressional candidates.

As passionate as I am against abortion, electing a Republican isn't going to stop it.

I'm not voting this time around and my conscious is bothering me a little. If I was in the same district as Bachman's, I'd have been more motivated to vote against her. Anyway it's one vote, I probably won't make any difference in the outcome.
Where can one find bumper sticker "taxation with our representation?" like they have in DC? haha kidding
