Last night I heard the wind blowing around my old Minneapolis house. Some of the closed bedroom doors were creaking and clacking - I thought the cats were working all the doors to see if they could sneak in. Nope - it was just the wind...

My wife was up in Duluth visiting her sister this weekend, and she said the wind almost pulled the car door out of her hand. Wow!

I hope everyone is okay ... sounds like some areas were hit with very strong winds. 81 mph in Ohio?

We lost a few trees around the neighborhood where I live, the top of one just topped itself in my yard and the neighbor lost 4 substantial trees. With the rain softening the ground and then the wind is creating some good uprooting conditions.

I haven't seen any damage at all in our neighborhood yet. I was expecting to see missing siding/shingles, etc. after all the bumps and shaking our house was going through last night. I only ran to the pharmacy this morning so I haven't been through most of the town but the only "damage" I saw was a lot of political signs blown all over. We haven't lost power either.

The birds in our yard were hiding along the side of the garage and all of their feathers were blown off.
