sound fairly normal for eastern SD, MN, WI.... interesting he's from Morris since there's a match.com profile I stumbled upon there for a female that's how I know the name.. it's about 120 miles NNE of me, not that far.

Not really, it is what it is. She sounds and looks like every other dork middle aged professional up here - Stupid hair style, stupid dark framed glasses, and stupid anecdotes. And her accent is spot-on.
The accent is going away, just like many regional accents in the USA. The New Orleans creole, the thick west Texas twang, etc.
I think Palin's ancestors settled in AK after coming from MN.
