Congratulations to Bert on a long overdue recognition and becoming the seventh Minnesota Twin elected to baseball's hall-of-fame.

Alomar, Blyleven Elected to the Hall of Fame | Baseball Hall of Fame

*Harmon Killebrew
*Rod Carew
Dave Winfield
Paul Molitor
Steve Carlton
*Kirby Puckett

*entered HOF as a Minnesota Twin

Those that took in any baseball games at Met Stadium between 1970 and 1974 were able to witness a line-up that included 3 future hall-of-famers and a 4th that deserves to be there and still might yet get in (Tony-O).

Yay! It's about time. But at least justice was finally served. IMO.

I agree. Stunning Statistics.

Reasons WHY he should have gone in awhile ago:
287 career wins
3701 Strikeouts
3.31 ERA
22 Seasons
242 Complete Games of 692 total games, which is freaking insane
60 Shut outs

Reasons WHY it took so long:
No Cy Youngs
No 20 Win Seasons

Pitchers get into the Hall 1 of 2 ways: 1 - A long consistent career with solid numbers 2 - A few years of highly dominant pitching (2-3 yrs of 20 win seasons, multiple cy youngs)

Im proud he did it, well deserved
