Whoa!

Duluth now has 15.5" of snow for the season. That's over a foot above normal.

2nd snowiest to date. Only 1991 had more snow up to this point.

I would remind people that it's important to have good tires on your vehicles. Man, I was out driving last week late at night coming home from work late and it was that first ice/slick of the season and there were numerous cars in ditches and so on. Just hitting a little patch where you feel you have no control of your vehicle at 50+ MPH is like your heart and soul leaves your body it is so scary.

Always drive slow and with full awareness of the road. And get good tires.

I see 1-3" reports that came in across MN there under that heavier snow band. Light across the north.

It started late this afternoon but just very lightly - those big fat snow flakes that I love. Now it has stopped snowing and lightly covers the grass/garden areas. What a strange year - we still have lots of leaves on many trees.
