holy crap, looking at past weather history over the past 20 or 80 years, I realize there is a direct correlation between the boy's (or girl's, or hockey or wrestling, etc.) basketball tournament and a springtime blizzard! Has anyone else noticed this tendency to get snow in March or is this proof of a diabolical scheme from some super-villain?

Loud thunder and lightning here last night! We probably got close to an inch of rain.
Imagine if all of that rain had been snow.
.... Sorry for you folks up north of St. Cloud, sounds like you'll have to get out the shovels. I'm crossing my fingers for you in hopes that it wont be as bad as predicted.
The rest of this week looks craptastic with temps way below normal

Spring snowstorms - bah! Last night we were watching a movie, and one kid came back from going to the basement for some pop, complaining "my feet are all wet!". Another kid said, "oh, yeah, there's a bunch of water downstairs..." Huh!? Gee, thanks for telling us, but you could have told us when you first noticed. Teenagers are idiots.

So we tromped downstairs to see water seeping in all along the foundation walls, ugh! We spent almost all night mopping & wet vacuuming, and it's still coming in! Arrgh! Oh, well, that's home ownership for you...

We got hit here in Marshall, too. Four to five inches of the white stuff. It looks like the snow line stopped just south of here, though.

I'm never buying a nuclear power plant again - the upkeep is terrible!

Default What's it like on average in August?

I'm coming over from Australia ... want to head to the source of the Mississippi.

August will likely be hot and fairly humid.

Snow's starting to melt but all we have left is the ugliness of it. I was at the EP Center today, there are still over 6, 7 feet (at least, according to my "rough" calculation) tall mounds of snow by the parking lot.
