Stillwater's schools, and the town for that matter, are much better then Woodbury's. Woodbury schools are fine but Stillwater is better. As for class sizes, which grade levels? You aren't going to find any schools in the metro area that have classes sizes that are too big.

Lake Elmo is a good school, great little town that is close to everything. All the schools are good. One thing with the Stillwater schools is they have had open enrollment since forever so a lot of people tend to enroll in the newer schools leaving the older schools a bit smaller. I don't think that one school is better then the other there. Stonebridge is an open concept school so it is a different style of learning but the rest of the schools are traditional. Off hand I don't know what the size of the classes are but they are going to be around 20 kids or so. They will have aides in the rooms if the classes are bigger then that. Education in Stillwater is a serious thing. The community itself is highly educated and there is a big importance on doing well in school.
