Default Do people in Minnesota even travel to Canada?

If so, why?

Winnipeg is the closest large metropolitan area for many people in northwestern Minnesota, so I would assume that may be a reason for some in that part of the state to cross the maple curtain. But frankly I have never lived in northern Minnesota, so I don't know.

I personally think Canada is a very interesting country, I love getting stamps on my passport, and I don't have a chance to travel abroad often. So if I was close to the border, I would probably cross it just for the heck of it.

What kind of question is that? Like asking if people leave their own town. If so, why?? Obvious answer. Not everybody is a hermit. I do collect the stamps, too.

We used to go on fishing trips once a year in the spring, and my father would go again in the fall. He still does.

Why? Why not? It isn't that far to drive, and western Ontario is beautiful if you like trees, rocks, water, and logging roads.

I've been to Thunder Bay, ON a few times. Those were trips I took while seeing the North Shore of Minnesota. I've also been to Winnipeg, MB (cuz' you can drink @ 18 there!)

I've been to Canada probably 14-15 times. All over the country--from Halifax, Annapolis Royale on the east to Vancouver/Victoria on the west, and places like Moose Jaw, Ottawa, Calgary, Sudbury, Toronto, Guelph, and Montreal. I think Canada is an awesome country--especially in the summer!

Used to go to Quetico for a long weekend once each May. Some of my best memories.
