Northfield MN
Hi,
We are looking into relocating to Northfield in the next year or so. Any info regarding schools, soccer and general info would be greatly appreicated. TIA

Good schools, good soccer program, great town. With the two colleges there the opportunites are endless. Easy drive to the metro for other activities.

I understand race relations are only so-so, better than St. Cloud, but worse than North Minneapolis.

Northfield
Great Schools, great authentic historic downtown, two nationally ranked colleges, the Cannon River runs through town and the town smells like a bakery at times (Malt-O-Meal cereal is made in Northfield).
Race relations can always be improved, but IMHO, I'd say they are not bad. This weekend is the Defeat of Jesse James Days ( Defeat of Jesse James Days) event that brings in over a 100k visitors to our town!

I just visited Northfield today for the first time. I love the way it smells like malt o meal! There's some beautiful and lovingly maintained older homes. It just seems older somehow than most of Minnesota. I thought it was very nice.

Nice samll town. With nice shops. You can live in the country as well as in a small town. It does smell like malt o meal which is cool and wierd.....

People not friendly.
Cute downtown...nice place to visit and then RUN....
