Funny, I never heard the gray duck thing until I came to this forum.

In kindergarten we learned it as duck duck goose.
no grey duck or grey goose.

I've never heard or the funeral persession going by the deceased home as a tradition?

One of the neat things about moving around the country is coming across variations like this to games or standard traditions. Here in NW lower MI for example when a person is being buried the ride between the church and cementary will include a drive by of the deceased's home. Never heard of that before until I moved here and I have lived in 3 other states.

I was speaking about a variation to the standard drive from the service to gravesite. I've been to a few funerals and the 'normal' timeline was service at church then follow herse to gravesite, then a few words were spoken and the casket lowered. I had never seen or heard about this drive by before. I think it's kinda sweet in a morbid way, if that makes sense.

My small town is mostly people of Polish Catholic descent so maybe it's something to do with that?
