Default Minnesota cities average temp/precip/snow data

Hi all

I am a weather forecatser who works in Grand Forks ND and lives across river in Minnesota. I see frequent information for weather information. The Midwest Climate Center located at the Univ of Illinois Champaign has excellent info regarding "average" temp/pcpn/snowfall for many sites in Minnesota.

The llink below will help you out on what is normal temps/snowfall/rainfall for different counties in Minnesota. It is based on actual records from the numerous cooperative observers in the state and is collected by the Midwest Climate Center. You can go to the main page of this web site and get similar data for other counties in Iowa and Wisconsin and other Midwest states.

Of course...be careful with "averages" as weather is rarely average in this part of the nation...usually made up of extremes....one cold year then one mild year and voila you got "average".

Dan
