Default Leaving Minnesota For Somewhere???

I am looking to move from Prior Lake, Minnesota. I love the small town atmosphere here and the great schools, so it makes me sad to leave. I want to find a place just like this in another state FAR from here. (Leaving to save our family)

We don't make a lot of money, my husband is a chef and needs to go where he can make money to support us at a large restaurant that would have good benefits. I also work pt, but I can find a job anywhere doing anything.

I have a daughter in Kindergarten, and we also have a 1 year old. So we need a good family atmosphere and good schools.

We can afford about $1000/rent/mo. Preferably a house for rent.

Any suggestions for towns like this or resources to help me find what I'm looking for?
