what is North St Paul like? (houses, price, suburb)

I picture it as a little town in itself but near the big city.. Or is it just like any other suburb that has a lot of urban sprawl and no central downtown area?

north st paul is really cute. it is right on the bike path and actually has a walkable downtown with businesses that are opened. I know a few years back when we were looking at houses it was reasonably priced compared to neighboring burbs and i imagine that is probably still the case.
