Trapped in ALASKA! is on a distinguished road
Lightbulb Suggestions Needed Please! :~)

Hello All That Read This........

Sadly I have lived in Fairbanks, Alaska my whole life (24 yrs) and have never even been out on a vacation. I desperately need to get out of the dark and experience life. I would appreciate any input or suggestions/resources on relocating. I am a little timid because I have never experienced life outside of this small town, and I am a single mom of a wonderful 8yr old. Not only am I eager to move somewhere that's not winter 9 months out of the year, but I am looking forward to applying somewhere that offers an Ultrasound Tech program (which is not offered anywhere in AK). If there is anyone out there that has some good useful info I would greatly appreciate it!

Sarah

Hi

There are several tech colleges that do offter courses/degrees in ultrasound technology. I did a search and found St Cloud Tech having one. I am sure there are others. I will PM you the web info I found on St Cloud Technical College. St Cloud would be a nice place to be close enough to the big cities but also not too close.

I am sure there are many others....but the info I send my help on your direction.

Cool not sure this will help or not

This is my first time replying to these threads so bare with me. My wife and I have lived in MN a couple of years and its for the most part a pretty good state. We are also from a small small town though it was in South Dakota. She wanted a degree in MLT and we found after looking at alot of places we went with a college in Lincoln Nebraska because it was really inexpensive and offered a good degree. Even paying out of state tuition it was still alot cheaper than most other schools. If I was you I would look for a school that fits your needs both financially and what you want in a town. We moved here because this was the best paying job she was offered after graduation. The weather is pretty nice most of the time and the people are friendly for the most part. I hope this might help and if there's anything else I can help ya with dont be affraid to ask. BTW... you live in a beautiful state. Was their in 1992 and loved it.
