I think they give race of suspect because they have photo of suspect.

When I read about a crime with no description of the suspects, I generally assume it involves black males. They were the only race exempt from being described in news reports here in Canada when our papers started the same practice. However, they have recently stopped doing it. I guess they finally realized it was having the opposite effect from which they originally intended.

Whenever I don't hear the description of the alleged perp, I assume it's a Canadian trying to get our better stuff.

The FIRST time the news reports a crime they state what they have then, subsequent news reports , as they get more information, give more information. It would be irresponsible of them to speculate as posters have done here.

Uh, the first buildings in the Old Main area on the East Bank campus were built in the 1880's. It was there LONG before most of Minneapolis.

I can’t wait when will work again in that area. We will see how knife and sledge hammers will help them. Guns are different story. Btw I hang for years around NE MPLS and didn’t see any crime nor be target to it. How can be so much crime just 3 blocks down.
Reading description of attacks it is not joke. Jump in apartment with knife and sledge hammer and sky mask. If I would have daughter I would not send her to U of M for sure.
