Default History of the town of Pennock

I was googling my maiden name and came upon the town of Pennock.
Can anyone help me find out the history of this small Minnesota town
that I share a name with? Most of the Pennocks in my family live in Missouri.
I know some of our history, back to when we first came from England to Vermont before the Revolutionary War. There were 13 brothers and sisters born here. Any help on how the town got the name and anything else would be wonderful.

Hi...my name is Lydia Pennock. I've stopped by that town just to get my picture with the town name. All I know is that the town was named after a railroad man. There is also a Pennock Island at Ketchikan Alaska. Be sure to check out www.pennock.ws and especially www.primitivehall.org. Don't know if you are from the same "stock", but the history is facinating. My dad is Levis Pennock named after the "first mom", Mary Levis in the 1700's and my son also carries the name. Good luck with your search.
