one of my goals that i have written down in life is to be an extra on a movie. I don't have to be in the movie just be an extra for a day. Anyone know how to do that in movies being made in minnesota?

If I lived in Minnesota and wanted to be an extra on a movie, the first thing I would do is try to contact Joel and Ethan Coen. They are responsible for about a third of "made in Minnesota" movies and may have a good suggestion or two. They may even decide to use you in their next movie as an extra! The worst that can happen is they don't reply.

Unfortunately, A Serious Man and Joe Somebody are the only well known movies made in the state in the last 15 years. Hopefully, the movie business can revive there again soon. The 1990's was the breakout decade with Fargo, The Mighty Ducks and its sequels, Untamed Heart, Overnight Delivery, Twenty Bucks, and some others. The Twin Cities are off the charts in every other entertainment category (music, theater, dance, pro sports, etc). Good luck!

Here is a link to some agencies in the area that might assist you in being an extra on a movie: Minnesota Talent Agencies-Casting Calls.
