Default need a vacation ideas

I just signed up after reading posts over several months from around the nation. I agree with JenLee on the FergusFalls and Battle lake area. If you want the true lake experience and quiet solitude go with an owner's home over a resort. It's nice to see current posts about my adopted hometown of Battle Lake. It's like the Mayberry of the north.
I have a mobile home fixed up very nice that I am now renting as I just don't get up there enough. I won't bore with details as I don't want this to seem like an advertisement. If interested, please email me. There are very few private places to rent so thought I would try this year. I live in Georgia but basically grew up on this lake, used to get baths from my grandma on Eagle Lake some 30 plus years ago when I was a kid.
I agree, prices are outrageous; lucky I bought this old place just to get my foot in the door about eight years ago, planning some day to build a retirement cabin for permanent residence. I know the area pretty well if anyone has questions.

ottertail17 are you looking to rent out your cabin on Eagle Lake for long term? My girlfriend is going to be attending grad school at MSU and we are looking for a place to rent. I know Eagle Lake is very close to Mankato and we are looking for a nice quiet spot. If you are looking to rent long term can I get some more details on your place? Thanks in advance! I will also email you.

Default cabin rental

I'm posting along with sending as I'm new to all of this and wanted to make sure you received a reply. I believe you have the wrong Eagle Lake; I'm in Ottertail County, but if you know of anyone I'm interested in a long term rental or just for vacations. Thanks and good luck!

If you haven't found anything yet I know of a great place in Sauk Centre that I have stayed at a few times. It's a private cabin on the lake not far from town so you can have a relaxing vacation.

I originally found the place at Explore MN's website, it's called Brick Yard Cottage.
