Default info on Morton, MN anyone?

Is anyone familiar with Morton, MN, like what kind of jobs are around that area besides the Casino, and what the school system is like (I think the kids go to Redwood Falls)? Also, what is in that town for stores, things to do, etc.? Thanks for any info anyone has.

There are no other jobs in Morton other then the casino. There are jobs in Redwood Falls, mostly ag related. Redwood Falls is a nice little town, they have a great golf course there. Schools are ok, nothing great.

Morton is a blink and miss it kind of town. There are a couple specialty shops that cater to the casino traffic, gift shop type places, and a bar--oh there is a cheese store there too. The town itself is pretty dumpy surprisingly. I thought that with the success of the casino that it would get fixed up more but most of the people that have prospered from the casino either live outside of town or in Redwood Falls.

If you want to live in SW MN, Marshall would be a better choice--more prosperous town, much better economic climate and several major employers so finding a job is much easier.

There is another town in SW MN, Nicolet maybe, that has a bar called Swanee's. That might be a good choice for you too .
