Well, since we're currently sitting on a budget surplus, I'll go with the possibility that you're claiming that taxes are going to drive Minnesotans and business located in the state to bankruptcy. Shall we test that notion?

The numbers:
http://www.uscourts.gov/uscourts/Sta...14/1214_f2.pdf

In 2014 Minnesota totaled 12,190 bankruptcies. Unfortunately, the chart doesn't break the state totals down on a per capita basis. But at the least, we can compare Minnesota and Wisconsin, as they each are the most similar state to the other - both in the Upper Midwest; both with similar demographics (Minnesota is 87% white, Wisconsin 86% - I suspect critical age breakdown alike as well); similar populations (Wisconsin's population is only 6% more than that of Minnesota); two states with a single major million+ metropolitan area, located in the southeastern portion of the state with the population tapering off the further one goes north. And to top it off, the low-tax Cheeseland paradise under Governor Walker must be paying off with comparatively few bankruptcies compared to the tax-hell of Governor Dayton in Minnesota. Right?

Gee whiz... despite having only 6% more people than Minnesota, Wisconsin in 2014 totaled a whopping 21,076 bankruptcies - 73% more than the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

You get what you pay for. Social and public investments return dividends. And that's part of the reason that Minnesota, one of the higher-taxed states year after year, is also one of the higher-rated states on a whole variety of metrics, from health care to education to the income/cost-of-living ratio. (As an aside, I think most of the rest of the reason is that Minnesota is simply well-run)

You could always move to Wisconsin, they have decided to go the opposite direction as Minnesota, but most of the state is in decline.

Yep!

We can walk on water here. And then pull fish through holes in the water.

No this can be found anywhere in the country... sorry, we are not special and more amazing than the rest of the country. Minnesota and every other state are all great in their own way.
