Well Golf-Gal I totally forgot about Canes. It would make sense if it was Canes due to the fact that they are just entering Minnesota's market but they still have about four locations here. I dont think its ChiCk-Fil-A because they only have one location in Minnesota and its in the Minnesota Food Court at the Main U. But you never know, Chick Fil-A may just decide to expand starting with Duluth or something. Canes seems to be the most realistic. Thanks for reminding me Golf-Gal.

When people were saying "chicken" place, I could only think about Chick Fil-A. I've never even heard of Canes.

Canes is a really large chain in the south. Its just like Chick Fil-A only difference is that Canes specializes in chicken fingers. Google Canes Chicken Fingers and learn more about it. They have very nice locations in Minnesota.

Default Culver's in Duluth

There is going to be Culver's in Duluth. I know it's going to be out by the mall. Late 2008 or early 2009. Currently, there are only two Culver's in the area: Superior and Two Harbors.

JUST READ SOMETHING INTERESTING. Well I was looking around on CMRA's website and they happen to have the old Gander Mountain space for lease. Well when I looked to see how much space was for leasing, knowing that the building was 36,000sq feet, there only was 15,000 square feet for lease. It turns out that CMRA has leased more than half the building to a large national retailer. there is 21,556 sq feet that this national retailer is taking up. On the site plan it says National Retailer to be announced soon. The 15,000 square feet left can also be split into two, the smallest space being 7,000 square feet. The site also says that the building is going to be totally remodeled, interior and out. Does anyone happen to know what this national tenant will be?

Do you mean "Raising Canes"? I have been to the one in Apple Valley because I have friends in that area, but I didn't know of the three other locations. I have been in all of the major malls in the Twin Cities and there is no chicken places in any of their food courts. I have never seen a KFC in a food court, although there was one in the Holiday
Center in the mid-1980's. Something is going in the old Gander Mountain, about time, huh?. I remember when that was a large toy store called Children's Palace!

I didn't realize that building was ever anything besides a Gander Mountain. I assumed the building was custom built for them (the mountains and all). Man, Duluth sure needs a mainstream toy store. I love the small ones downtown and in Canal Park, but there's still a need for a Toys R' Us type place.

I'm sure you know Toys-R-Us was already in Duluht, but closed own this location. That store sucked anyhow. Give me an FAO Shwartz or another independent store that is top quality.
