Nowhere in MN, and I've lived here most of my life. I would retire somewhere with as little snow and cold as possible.

I should point out I'm at least 30 years from retirement though

Default Taxes and Retirement

Hello All,

Well this is a tricky subject for me, as usually these things don't seem as they appear. Many states don't have various types of taxes, yet I find that they always seem to find ways of getting into the wallet of their constituents wherever they my live. An example of this is Florida which has no state tax, however different municipalities place additional taxes on other items like property tax etc. What I'm saying is that they make up for it in some way. With that being said, the less you have to burden your retirement nest egg the better. I personally don't thing Social Security should be taxed, but I'm just your average American citizen who would someday like to retire. However, I believe retirement as it once was is a thing of the past. My plan is never to retire, just keep working until the end.
