Won't go near that place today (Saturday) because of the planned thug demonstration. How many shootings/stabbings will there be?

Just avoid the Snelling Ave. entrance. I've been going to the fair for my whole life, and I think I've used Snelling once, and that was when my grandfather drove us all down and that was the only way he knew. Now I just hop on a park and ride bus and get dropped off at the awesome transportation center, which is on the opposite side of Snelling.

The fair is awesome. I went opening day.

I'm guessing this is one of the reasons why it's not legal for school to start until Labor Day most of the time, because people say the state's tourism is affected by families having to plan around kids' school schedules. The State Fair included.

Correct. And the State Fair vendors don't want to lose their workers.

So true. A resort association has fought this at the state capital more than once. So far, so good.
