Default Trails End Resort at Oak Lake

Does anyone remember Trails End resort at Oak Lake in Kerrick, MN? My grandfather, Wilmar Carlson, used to own it many years ago, and I was just wondering what is going on with it now. I was back there about 15 years ago, but didn't see anyone moving about on the property...just wondering, sure would like to hear from anyone that is familiar with it...thanks

Default Trail's End Resort - Parent's Owned

Hi. My parent's and their freinds actually purchased Trail's End Resort from your grandfather. I know after they sold it,which was in the late 80's, it was still operated as a camp ground. I believe there are owners currently who keep it open - my brother took his kids there for a weekend not too long ago. I haven't been there myself for many years but would love to see how it looks and if I remember it accurately! I remember your grandfather and his wife - he was a great character! I remember there being a ton of stuff that has just accumulated there and that was auctioned off. It was a great place to spend my summers when growing up - we had alot of fun, all of us kids! We spent hours out in the lake swimming and jumping off pontoons. We also explored the woods and fields surrounding the property, and riding dirtbikes on the surrounding dirt roads. Very fond memories! Jodie Maruska - 4/1/09
