Larry Roberts of Rush City MN is currently on season two of The History Channel's "Alone"...

Ten people enter the Vancouver Island wilderness carrying only what they can fit in a small backpack. They are alone in harsh, unforgiving terrain with a single mission–stay alive as long as they can. These brave men and women must hunt, build shelters, and fend off predators. They will endure extreme isolation and psychological distress as they plunge into the unknown and document the experience themselves. No camera crew. No producers. It is the ultimate test of human will.

After 35 days, Larry of Rush City Minnesota is one of only 4 remaining individuals still living alone on Vancouver island. He is doing well considering the tremendous challenges and forbidding environment that he is having to endure.

"Alone" is on thursday nights, 8pm on the history channel.

Thanks for reminding me of this show, started watching it again on demand. I thought the highly skilled guy from Lewis, CO who made the dice and every other contraption was going to win, but he missed his wife too much. The women who gets to eat salmon everyday will last a long time in the food sense. The Spanish guy made a kayak, wow, just noticed he tipped it. I remember first season when a bear started harassing a guy and he called in the crew in middle of night. The crew had no clue how to find him in darkness, and it took a few hours for them to hike to him.

Larry of Rush City survived 64 days of living off the land in complete isolation. Only one man lasted longer.
Congratulations Larry, you really did very well !

BIZONGA!

Larry was hilarious. He reminded me of so many folks I grew up with in MN. With more food, he could have won.
