Preschools in Sartell (St. Cloud, Sauk Rapids: daycare, how much, house)

Hi all,

My husband and I are researching the Sartell area as a possible choice for our post-military FINAL move! My husband is trying to get on with the St. Cloud Fire Dept (any tips there, greatly appreciated), and I am still rummaging around for jobs. Couple of questions...is there a dependable website to find jobs in the St. Cloud/Sartell area? I dislike monster.com, careerbuilder, etc.

Is there a neighborhood that anyone knows of in Sartell that we should try to get a house in, or one we should steer clear of?

Also, I am looking for both a quality daycare for my baby, and a preschool for my 3 year old. Any recommendations? I would like the pre-school to allow bus transportation, but can work around that issue if we must. My 3 year old is really bright, and needs to be challenged (in a fun, toddler way).

I like Careerbuilder for job searches so I am not much help there. What kind of job are you looking for? The St. Cloud Times will have some listings. You can check the websites for the Colleges, St. Cloud State, College of St. Benedict and St. John's University. The only preschools I know of that offer busing are typically for the Head Start kids or the special needs kids. Most people set up some kind of car pool though.

If you are still looking, I really only know of the Montessori School of Sauk Rapids. I was an assistant teacher there for a school year while my daughter (3 yr at the time) attended and not only is the staff FANTASTIC, I was so surprised with how much they were able to teach the children (ages 3-kindergarten). I actually don't think it's really what you are looking for, they don't offer busing or childcare for your baby, but I definitely recommend it if you somehow see it making sense. Also, many of the families were actually Sartell families despite that it was in Sauk Rapids, so that might be nice in meeting other families in your area. Sartell has a great school district, had we stayed up there we would have looked into moving to Sartell ourselves.
