Smile Hennepin County Medical Center
Just wondering if anyone has been in the labor and delivery unit and HCMC and had a baby there. I am currently considering having my baby there because they promote natural delivery and give mothers a choice on how they want to deliver. I am looking at the midwifery team and it looks amazing!! Anyone had any experience with any of the midwives there??

Loved HCMC Midwives. They are highly skilled because they deal with different cultures, many different situations. The room is like the Hilton, the food is fabulous. I had everything exactly like I wanted. I would have a million babies at HCMC.

Definately check it out. It is an amazing place.

My best friend is a CNM (nurse midwife) and has worked at many different hospitals across the cities through the years (she often fills in for vacationing CNMs during the summer when she isn't teaching).

According to her, HCMC is the best place to go for midwifery services and natural delivery. She says that they give the mom the chance to deliver the way they want without manipulating her choices.

HCMC is a Level One Trauma Center--it is a superior hospital, for any specialty. Excellent medical care in this facility.
